socially and economically.
There were exchanges that took place within the clans. In fact, the food or captured
harvest was compulsorily split within the clan. The distribution of food,

In Western culture, individuals and their rights are at the center of
society. In Aboriginal communities there is a greater emphasis on social identity and
responsibilities of individuals required to comply with the expectations of others.
Traditional aboriginal societies lived in relatively small groups called
clan (or local groups). The largest social unit was the tribe (or linguistic group)
which it was formed from the set of clans.
There was also a third group, smaller than the others and family call, where
children grew up learning relationships with other members of the tribe.
